ERWITT

Elliot Erwitt is known for advertising and documentary photography. He does candid shots of ironic and absurd situations within everyday settings. He uses black and white with all of his subjects including many celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many more.

JOHNSON

Russell Johnson is a wild life photographer. Working all over the world including Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He learns new cultures and adventures ever day while capturing perfect moments in the wild. I think this guy is not just good at what he does but brave. I mean yes you can use a zoom lens but he has to be in some type of distance and some of these animals could be deadly. But the beauty he captures through them is amazing.

FADIMAN

ANNE FADIMAN
Once again i stumbled upon her, I was looking for some type of homeless photographer. Showing hardships and stories but i found this story and read it. With the pictures paired with the words it is breath taking. She captures more than just a mans face on the street begging for money. She captures the moments that we think about but are scared to imagine.

CHINLE

Cadence Chinle i stumbled upon. I am really interested in hula hooping and this caught my eye. Many hula hoop-inh pictures have been done but the way it gives her a roof top almost and like it is protecting her. As i looked through the site i noticed the strange subjects and views on things and people. The angles remind me a lot of my own photography.

LILIT

Alexandra Lilit. Her photography has common subjects. The dancer on the street. The replica of a fairytale. What is in her editing is what makes her stand out from others. Her subjects are the only subjects. there are no distractions or lighting screw ups, she is very aware of her surroundings and how it helps her photograph.

ROBSON

Millie Robson When you think pole dancing you think of strippers but not with this photography its the angles and lines of these dancers that your drawn too. The lighting and every muscle in there legs and arms, she took something that people assume to be so negative into some thing so beautiful.

ANDRES

Holly Andres wanted to avoid the normal cheerleading pictures and decided to get the angle your not so used to. I was a cheerleader all my life so for me this was interesting to see it in a new perspective and cool way to view it. I believe the way she captured is different than anything i have ever seen or taken. Its breath taking to see the movement.Photographer Holly Andres visited the University of Oregon acrobatics and tumbling team to shoot the young athletes for a TIME magazine article, "Cheer Factor" (read it here: http://ti.me/IVVZH). Wanting to avoid the tropes of cheerleading photography, Andres went outside for a graphic, black-and-white look at the emerging sport. http://ti.me/I4iUNB

MCKAY

Aura Mckay did a tattoo/piercing project which i love. It  brings a whole new sense in the worse art. Because as artists we make it, these people wear it. I think it shows a bold statement and shows how the models are people with meaning too.TattooProject_077_webTattooProject_017_webTattooProject_094_web

KALIS

I stumbled upon Elena Kalis and loved her work not just because of the underwater. It gives that no gravity feel. Also you almost cant tell if its a horror movie or fairy tale. You have to imagine for your self. I love the colors and how the backgrounds never change, its the scene in it that does.

HAPPY HEARTS.

David and Laura i stumbled upon this site http://www.happyheartsphotography.com/ and noticed something different. Alot of the photography was mainly newborns and children. But the angles and different views on things is what caught my eye. its like you were the kid again. I am aware its just a nother photographer, nobody famous but i think the work  is different and worth looking at.!

SERRAO

Carlos Serrao
http://www.carlosserrao.com/#/home/
Carlos is an insane sports photographer. He does campaigns for nike, gatorade, and even victoria secret. One of his popular ways of advertisements is like or multiples assignment. He blends multiple photos together to get the illusion of the sport actually being played. I think the ideas in some of his photography are genius like the shoe string one. I absolutely love his style.Gina Carano by Carlos Serrao for GQ-4

SMITHEY

Zack Smithey.
Mr.Smithey was my high school art teacher who is originally a artsist. He makes all sorts of types and continues to teach at the same time. He was always an amazing teacher, very inspirational. As i was in his classes i would see him focused on a piece for about a week and be amazed at the finished product. This is some of his work from his gallery and other self portraits.

MINKKINEN

Arno Rafael Minkkinen
This guy is insane. Using the elements of the human body to create this unrealistic pictures almost. Im speechless at this guys work it is so different i have never seen anything like it. He puts the body parts in with the backgrounds . its amazing. It takes a lot of thought and they are all in black and white if they were in color i don think they would be as effective.

Gallery show

I really enjoyed the umsl student work a lot more than the professional. Nothing Against the work just felt like " any one could do it " sorta thing but in the umsl student room the stories behind some of them were amazing the smoke series was incredible and the dance stretches was really neat with the simple light outlining the body.

I really liked Beth goyer and the trail of tears 250$ it was so creepy almost unreal like with the bridge gateway in the middle and this statue man waving almost like the scene in the photo hadn't been touched in years! It was my favorite I loveddd it!

Not a great photo but I did feel awkward taking one
